An opportunity has arisen for skilled A&P Mechanics at the Fort Lauderdale Airport. We are seeking skilled A&P Mechanics with Gulfstream experience to join our repair station team, focusing on heavy maintenance and modifications on Gulfstream aircraft. This role is ideal for individuals with strong experience in aircraft maintenance and a desire to work in a dynamic environment with a fantastic company offering great pay and state of the art work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy maintenance and inspections on Gulfstream aircraft models, including G400, G450, G500, G550, G600, G650 along with other legacy Gulfstream Aircraft.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance on airframe and powerplant components.
• Utilize own tools to complete maintenance tasks efficiently.
• Work within hangar environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
• Be open to overtime work to meet operational demands.

Essential Skills

• FAA A&P License
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy maintenance
• Experience with Gulfstream aircraft models listed above.
• Proficiency in inspection and maintenance of corporate jets such as Challengers, Learjets, etc. is also a plus but not required.

Work Environment

The role is based in a hangar environment at a busy airport, working directly on corporate aircraft in a repair station setting. Standard first shift hours are 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with schedules of Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday. These positions are intended to build a second shift running from 3:00 pm to 1:30 am on the same day patterns, with a 10% pay differential for second shift work. Technicians begin on first shift for approximately 30 to 45 days of training, depending on training requirements and proficiency, before transitioning to second shift. Work is hands-on, involving aircraft structures, engines, and systems in an active hangar environment where appropriate work attire and adherence to safety procedures are expected.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $57.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
