Job Description:


Addison Group is hiring a Compensation Analyst for our client. This position will support compensation analysis, salary benchmarking, incentive administration, job architecture, and reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, advanced Excel expertise, and the ability to manage highly confidential compensation data with accuracy and discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compare internal positions against relevant market survey benchmarks and develop compensation recommendations for new positions, job offers, and off-cycle requests.
• Assist with multiple short-term incentive programs, including confirming employee eligibility, gathering data, calculating awards, auditing results, and preparing payout files.
• Maintain and revise salary structures, compensation ranges, and pay scales during annual review cycles and as business needs arise.
• Evaluate positions and provide recommendations regarding job levels, grades, and appropriate salary ranges.
• Maintain job architecture information, including job functions, families, sub-families, career levels, occupational categories, and pay bands.
• Coordinate compensation survey participation by managing deadlines, preparing and validating company data, submitting responses, and reviewing purchased survey results for accuracy.
• Prepare recurring reports and complete ad hoc compensation analyses for leadership and internal stakeholders.
• Research competitor compensation programs and analyze market pay practices across job titles, departments, and geographic locations.
• Maintain detailed salary range spreadsheets and calculate labor-cost and market-related compensation metrics.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual bonus and incentive payment processes.
• Assist with upcoming compensation projects and the continued development of consistent salary structures across the organization.
• Create, maintain, and organize complex Excel reports using PivotTables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Power Query, and other advanced data-management functions.
• Review all calculations and reporting for accuracy while meeting multiple time-sensitive deadlines.

Qualifications:

• One to two years of professional compensation experience, preferably in an analytical role.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Power Query, and experience combining and manipulating large datasets.
• Experience working with compensation surveys, market-pricing resources, salary benchmarking, and job architecture.
• Strong research skills and the ability to independently evaluate competitor compensation practices and market data.
• Demonstrated discretion when handling confidential information, including employee salaries, incentive calculations, and bonus payments.
• General knowledge of total rewards programs is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Power BI is a plus.
