Worship Leader/Pastor Gate City Vineyard Church

Gate City Vineyard is seeking a Spirit-led, relational, and creative leader to oversee and grow our worship ministry. This role includes leading worship and developing and pastoring teams of musicians, vocalists, and production volunteers to create meaningful, God-centered worship experiences. We are a lively, friendly, intergenerational, multicultural church of about 100 people located in the vibrant Piedmont Triad region of Greensboro/Winston Salem-High Point. The ideal candidate will lead both vocally and instrumentally, bring fresh ideas to worship, and embody the Vineyard values of intimate and Spirit-led worship. We desire authentic, biblical encounters with the Holy Spirit and are looking for a leader who can shepherd us through both energetic and reflective songs of worship. The role also requires identifying, mentoring, and nurturing artistic talent within our congregation, and overseeing and training our production team. Our Sunday morning services are casual, come-as-you-are experiences featuring a mix of full-band and acoustic worship opportunities. Greensboro is a diverse community and we are looking for a worship leader who brings a blend of contemporary worship (Vineyard, modern worship) with openness to gospel, acoustic, and culturally diverse expressions. Our hope is to grow a worship culture where people encounter God, new leaders are developed, and our church reflects the diversity of our community. Qualifications A strong, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Proven leadership skills to build and develop volunteer teams with varying skill levels. Strong vocal and instrumental proficiency, with the ability to train others. A prayerful, servant heart, love for God’s people, excellent communication, and teachable spirit. Ability to engage worshipers in Spirit‑led, authentic worship. Commitment to diversity and creating a welcoming atmosphere for worshipers from all backgrounds. Minimum 3 years of worship leading experience in a congregational setting. Familiarity and/or proficiency with sound, video, and media production is a significant plus. Responsibilities Lead Worship Experiences: Plan and lead worship for Sunday services and church events, including rehearsals, song selection, and equipment maintenance. Work with production team to ensure a high‑quality experience. Develop Teams: Recruit, audition, and mentor new members, young and old, for both the worship and production teams, providing musical and spiritual encouragement. Administrative Oversight: Manage schedules, worship tech systems (Planning Center, ProPresenter), and copyright compliance. Maintain the worship budget and oversee equipment care.
