Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Proficiency in venipuncture, skin puncture, and pediatric draws.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in high-volume settings.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 30 lbs of supplies or equipment.
- Manual dexterity to operate lab equipment and perform blood draws safely.
- Ability to travel between UCLA Health community oncology practice sites as needed.
- Skill in performing with frequent interruptions and/or distractions including the ability to respond to changing priorities and deadlines.
Preferred:
- Understanding of oncology patient needs, including infection prevention for immunocompromised individuals.
- Familiarity with research specimen handling and documentation.
