Required Skills and Experience:

1. Experience: 2 - 3 years of experience working full-time for an engineering firm or construction company

2. Degree: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in:

• Civil Engineering (structural focus)
• Structural Engineering
• Architectural Engineering

3. Coursework: steel design, concrete design, structural analysis, geotechnical engineering

4. Code Knowledge: ACI Concrete Code, AISC Steel Code

5. EIT licensure by hire date

6. Good communication skills

New engineers work closely with all levels of engineers in the company and have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects.

Day to Day: Preparing PE/SE stamped design plans and calculations for temporary and permanent systems on construction projects; design using steel, concrete, timber, and masonry construction materials; written and verbal communication with general contractors and engineering/drafting project team; some travel to project sites around the U.S.
