Pharmacy TechnicianLocation: Geisinger Centralized Logistics & Materials Distribution Center (CLAM)Shift: Days (United States of America)Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40Worker Type: RegularExemption Status: NoJob Summary: The pharmacy technician works as an entry-level position focused on medication delivery and inventory management. The position has basic patient/provider service responsibilities through communication and message retrieval.Job Duties:Provide patient/provider/customer careUse the pharmacy computer system to facilitate patient careParticipate in patient/provider/customer care activities that do not require the expertise of a pharmacistPrepare and label medications appropriately for distribution.Retrieve, review, and perform inventory management for medications and supplies in the pharmacy.Maintain pharmacy records.Perform housekeeping duties in the pharmacy in compliance with hospital and accreditation policies.Participate in the onboarding and training of new pharmacy personnel.Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.
