About the Role

This position offers true autonomy, but let's be clear about how we start: You'll begin in the field as our premier Service Professional , piloting a mobile office (your stocked van and equipment) - fully supported by our dedicated office staff (CSRs and dispatchers) who handle all your calls, scheduling, and billing logistics.

As you establish our footprint and organic demand expands our operation toward a 4-to-6 van fleet, you will have the opportunity to grow, earn more, and transition into our Lead Electrician / Team Builder within 12 months - helping recruit, mentor, and direct the next wave of technicians. If an eventual leadership role is not of interest, we would still be very interested in speaking with you about a residential Service Professional role.

Core Responsibilities

• Residential Troubleshooting Mastery: Expertly diagnose, repair, and install complex residential electrical systems, panel upgrades, rewires, smart home technology, and EV chargers.
• Trust-Based Homeowner Care: Thoroughly inspect homes, clearly explain findings to homeowners, present options transparently, and guide them toward the best solutions for their safety and budget.
• Follow the Playbook: Execute Mr. Electric's proven, step-by-step service process on every call-knowing that adhering to a trusted system guarantees happy customers and higher earnings.
• Code & Safety Standards: Maintain zero tolerance for shortcuts. Every job must meet or exceed local and national electrical codes.
• Maintain Your Mobile Shop: Keep your assigned company vehicle clean, fully stocked, organized, and ready to represent our brand.
• Team & Brand Building: Actively represent Mr. Electric in the community and help attract, interview, and mentor future electricians as the fleet grows.

Required & Preferred Experience

• Licensed Pro: Current TDLR Journeyman or Master Electrician license is required.
• Residential Specialist: 3+ years of dedicated residential troubleshooting, repair, and service experience. (Light commercial service experience is a plus).
• Customer-Facing Expertise: Proven track record of working directly with homeowners, communicating technical details simply, and presenting service options with confidence.
• Clean Driving Record: Valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
• Physical Capability: Comfortable navigating attics, crawl spaces, ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to travel to Waco for all expense paid training.
