Job Summary: Provides clinical assessment, psychotherapeutic interventions, and case management with patients/clients in the course of treatment. Follows all CVCH, departmental, WAC/RCW, and funding source guidelines.

Job Specific Competencies: Conducts clinical intake assessments and develops treatment plans. Provides clinical counseling and case management services to CVCH patients/clients: Provides ongoing individual, family, or group counseling, using strengths and evidence-based approaches. Documents clinical activity according to policies and in compliance with required timelines. Provides case management services as needed. Links clients and supports to community resources. Coordinates treatment services and intervention strategies with internal and/or external services and supports, as appropriate. Provides continuity of care through outreach services, including direct patient/client interventions at off-site locations such as local schools and community agencies. Provides behavioral health outreach services with community partners, including providing education and training as directed. Complies with policies and procedures, accreditation standards, and funding source requirements. Attends all required agency and departmental meetings, as assigned by supervisor. Participates in regular supervision. Develops/implements curricula and session plans for groups.

Job Specifications: Education: Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling. Certification/Licensure: Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW) in WA State or eligible to obtain licensure upon hire. Valid Washington State Driver's License with good driving record and access to a vehicle that is legally insured to be used for off-site clinical services consultation or case management. Basic Life Support required. All providers must be eligible for enrollment in Medicare and must not be currently opted out of the Medicare program. Experience: Two years of mental health experience under the supervision of a qualified licensed professional to obtain licensure as indicated per RCW and WAC requirements. Language Requirements: Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Ability to multi-task. Knowledge of computer applications (e.g. Outlook, athenahealth) and equipment related to work. Must have basic computer and keyboarding skills and ability to enter data within CVCH computer system; must demonstrate manual dexterity. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work in a team environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with other staff and management and with a wide range of consumers and constituencies and members of the public in a diverse community. Demonstrated skill in developing and maintaining productive work teams. Demonstrated skill in a work environment in developing and maintaining productive relationships with the mentally ill. Contact with the public is required. Essential Physical Requirements: This job is performed mostly in a typical inside, office environment. Essential physical requirements of this job include: light physical effort; repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers; standing, walking, lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling; frequent sitting; lifting and/or moving items weighing 15 pounds; ability to read forms and computer screens and to read correspondence and other documents. Essential mental abilities include: knowledge, background and interest appropriate to providing sensitive, professional, direct support to mentally ill clients; ability to exercise sound independent judgment; ability to analyze problems and develop situation appropriate responses; ability to make decisions in line with state and federal regulations; ability to read, comprehend, and analyze documents, regulations, and policies; ability to prepare and submit complete and succinct documents. Essential Sensory Requirements: Essential sensory requirements include the ability to: read computer keyboard, monitor, and documents; prepare and analyze documents; read extensively; see, recognize, and assess non-verbal behaviors of consumers as part of the intake process; hear, recognize, and assess verbal presentations of consumers; receive and convey detailed information orally, by telephone and in person; convey accurate and detailed instructions by speaking to others in person and by telephone. Ability to write and speak in a coherent manner. Exposure to Hazards: Worker is subject to inside environmental conditions on a frequent basis with moderate noise. Worker has contact with consumers and other staff and may be exposed to medical conditions presented by them.

Employees are eligible to use EIB hours after at least 3 consecutive scheduled working days of PTO (max 24 hours) which have been used for a personal illness and/or a qualifying event under FMLA or the WA Family Care Act. Holidays: 64 hours related to: New Year's Day Memorial Day 4th of July Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Day after Thanksgiving Christmas Eve Christmas Day - Holidays are based on an 8-hour day. Providers will receive a holiday pool of 64 hours as a 1.0 FTE at the beginning of each calendar year. Holiday pool hours must be used by December 31 of each calendar year; unused holiday pool hours will be forfeited. If an employee starts after the calendar year has begun, holiday hours will be prorated based on remaining holidays in the calendar year. Diversity Days: 3 Diversity Days - Available after the first payroll cycle after start date. Diversity days will be prorated based on start date as outlined below: Jan 1- April 30: 3 diversity days (24 hours if 1.0 FTE) May 1 – August 31: 2 diversity days (16 hours if 1.0 FTE) Sept 1 – Dec 31: 1 diversity day (8 hours if 1.0 FTE) Please refer to the Paid Leave policy for additional details. 403(b) Retirement Plan: Lincoln Financial - 150% CVCH match up to 3% of the employee's contribution - Immediately. Vesting schedule: 20% at 2 years, 50% at 3 years, 60% at 4 years, and 100% at 5 years. Spanish Immersion: $2,000 - Employer will reimburse Provider up to $2,000, for participating in Pop Wuj Spanish Immersion program in Guatemala, or La Hacienda Spanish School in Mexico, for a minimum 3-week period, prior to the Provider's initial start date. CE: 40 hours/$2,000 per year based on 1.0 FTE - Available immediately. CE is loaded the first full pay period in January of each year and available to maintain licensure while working at CVCH. CE must be used by December 31 of each calendar year; unused CE will be forfeited. CME will be prorated based on start date into calendar year. CE is not available during provider's termination notice period. Licenses/Dues: WA State license and renewal. If out of state, national exam, license application fee and fingerprinting fees. $750 towards membership dues, subscriptions or misc. certification - Available after hire date.
