Job Description Opportunity: Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Job Details: Locum Tenens position providing gastroenterology coverage Patient encounters per shift: 5-10 Board certification required at minimum certified level ACLS and BLS certifications required Fellowship required Required procedural skills include: Upper GI endoscopy including with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), and injection of varices ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) - both diagnostic and therapeutic Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) Small bowel biopsy Lower GI endoscopy Sigmoidoscopy - both flexible and rigid Colonoscopy with biopsy Facility: This healthcare facility is a 99-bed institution offering a range of inpatient and outpatient medical services to the surrounding community.
