Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care for OB/GYN patients or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines while using critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment.
• Assess patient status, plan and implement individualized care plans, document care, and monitor for changes requiring intervention.
• Administer medications and therapies per orders, ensuring safety, accuracy, and adherence to policy.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the broader care team; participate in rounds and care planning to align with patient goals.
• Support continuity of care across shifts and settings, applying clinical expertise to optimize outcomes for OB/GYN patients.

Requirements

• Ability to provide nursing care in OB/GYN within an acute care environment
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and patient education skills
• Experience supervising nursing staff and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
• Willingness to commit to a 13-week travel assignment
