Retail Sales Associate - Part Time

Part‑Time Retail Sales Associate $14.00 to $15.50 per hour. Commission: Up to 8% on transactions; potential average additional $1.00 per hour on top of hourly rate. Position Summary Entry‑level, part‑time sales associates in pawn store locations nationwide. Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with whole staff to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides. Greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. Handles jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. Responsibilities Greets and interacts with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions. Performs non‑management open/close procedures. Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise. Processes sales and loan transactions per company policies and regulatory requirements. Handles cash and negotiable items per policies. Answers incoming calls per company standards. Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers. Communicates with coworkers and managers respectfully and effectively. Partners with all employees to create a positive customer experience. Completes assigned training. Other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Willing and able to perform duties requiring standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods. Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification. May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas. Minimum age 18 years old. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented. Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency with basic math calculations. Cash handling experience preferred. Able to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate. Willing to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays. Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and office machines.
