DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this role, you will lead a clerical team, support bureau leadership, and help maintain efficient office operations for the Bureau of Special Education. Strong organization, communication, and leadership skills will help you succeed in this position. As a Clerical Supervisor 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Staff Supervision: Oversee clerical staff, assign tasks, review work, and conduct evaluations
- Office Coordination: Manage workflows, schedules, correspondence, filings, and meeting preparations
- Document Review: Check correspondence and documents for accuracy, consistency, and required formatting
- Leadership Support: Assist the Director and Assistant Director with travel planning, communications, and scheduling
- Training Duties: Provide onboarding, teach procedures, and support staff development
- Administrative Oversight: Maintain tracking systems, logs, records, and conference room usage

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 4 days per week. You will be required to report in-office on Tuesday each week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Supervisor 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
