TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Peds Med/Surg RN in Sacramento, California, 95816!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of pediatric experience, prior travel experience preferred License: Valid RN License required Certifications: BLS, PALS, APHON preferred Must-Have: - 2 years of pediatric experience - Prior travel experience - EPIC experience Description: Primary position in Pediatrics. Willingness to float to PICU/NICU is required. Candidates must possess certifications in BLS and PALS. APHON certification is preferred. Administration of blood and blood products is part of the role. Candidates will be involved in the administration of chemotherapy and anti-seizure medications. Knowledge of infection prevention protocols is necessary. Experience with pediatric oncology patients is a plus. Candidates should be comfortable managing central lines and conducting blood draws. Pediatric dosage calculations and symptom management are essential skills. The role includes monitoring chemotherapy and providing care for various pediatric conditions. Experience with breastfeeding support, NG tube insertion, and management of indwelling catheters is beneficial. Work will involve collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. The patient ratio on days and nights is 4:1. Candidates are expected to participate in rapid response teams and provide care for a diverse range of pediatric diagnoses.
