Staff Accountant

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least three years of general accounting experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. This position requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, and the ability to work independently while supporting the overall finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded in compliance with GAAP.
• Support preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Analyze and explain variances between actual results and budget.
• Assist with audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as required.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (required).
• Minimum of 3 years of general accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and standard accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
