Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves providing direct patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care to patients in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient care in the emergency department.
• Perform triage and prioritize patient needs based on clinical urgency.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document patient assessments, nursing interventions, and responses to treatments accurately and promptly.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and care plans.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the emergency department.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of two years of experience in an emergency room setting preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure environment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Screening Requirements

All candidates must complete and clear required screenings prior to employment, including:

• Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
• Department of Human Services Fingerprinting
• FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting (if applicable)
• PA State Police Clearance

Work Schedule

This position typically requires working overnight shifts. Orientation is conducted weekly, on Mondays.

Travel Requirements

Candidates residing 60 miles or more from the work location may be considered for travel roles.
