Senior Level Product Review Engineer (Liaison Engineering) Company: The Boeing Company Location: McConnell Air Force Base, Wichita, Kansas The KC‑46 Tanker program is seeking a senior‑level product review engineer who will work onsite as part of the Fleet Support Liaison Engineering team. The role involves applying Boeing design principles to assess, resolve, and document product/process issues throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring the U.S. Air Force fleet remains safe and operational. Responsibilities Partner with on‑site Field Services Representatives (FSRs), FSR‑S, and Contractor Field Teams (CFTs) to identify and resolve product/process issues. Apply knowledge of Boeing design and engineering principles to develop interim or final engineering solutions for post‑production issues that cannot be resolved by the customer. Conduct failure analysis, root‑cause analysis, and troubleshoot to determine the disposition of non‑conformances. Perform static strength and other relevant analyses for temporary and permanent structural repairs. Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), participate in design reviews, and recommend non‑destructive test procedures, tools, and standards. Write dispositions for routine design non‑conformances and develop customer correspondence to maintain safe operation and maintenance of equipment. Represent the engineering community in the build‑through to post‑production environment, ensuring compliance with design intent and safety requirements. Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent. MRB (Material Review Board) certification. 5+ years of experience in aerospace systems or structures. 5+ years of experience in production engineering and/or production system design. 5+ years of experience performing MRB product review. 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. Preferred Qualifications Experience in stress analysis and hands‑on knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes. 5+ years of experience applying design principles to resolve product issues across the product lifecycle. Experience drafting dispositions for aircraft non‑conformances. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with operations, engineering, and cross‑departmental teams. Universal Product Review (UPR) Certification. Other Information: Drug‑free workplace; all eligible employees are subject to drug testing in accordance with company policy.
