Experienced Nursing Assistant/CNA: 3PM Shift Weekdays and Weekends

Certified Nursing Assistant | Weekday and Weekend 3PM Shifts At Arbor Place, our team is proactive, engaged, and highly observant, helping our residents with dementia feel safe, reassured, comfortable, and known. This role is ideal for someone compassionate, dependable, and genuinely respectful of older adults. What You’ll Do Provide hands-on support for residents living with dementia and cognitive impairment Assist with toileting, repositioning, hygiene, continence care, mobility, transfers, and all ADLs Monitor for changes in condition, behavior, comfort, gait, sleep patterns, or alertness Respond promptly and calmly to resident needs during the night Help prevent falls and reduce nighttime confusion or agitation Support residents with reassurance, redirection, companionship, and a calming presence Maintain a clean, safe, organized environment Communicate observations clearly to nursing staff and the incoming day team Document care accurately and thoroughly Work collaboratively with nurses and caregivers as part of an integrated care team What We Look For Communicate calmly and respectfully with residents experiencing confusion or distress Demonstrate patience, attentiveness, and reliability Remain composed and responsive in urgent situations Work well as part of a close-knit team Notice small changes and communicate concerns clearly Treat residents with dignity, kindness, and respect Are willing to jump in and help wherever needed People who notice things early, communicate clearly, and understand that compassion is often expressed through consistency, patience, and presence. Preferred Qualifications Experience in memory care, assisted living, skilled nursing, home care, or healthcare preferred Experience working with residents with dementia or cognitive impairment preferred CNA/GNA certification (helpful) Strong communication and teamwork skills Overnight shift experience Qualifications Ability to assist residents with transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and mobility support Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (50lbs), and respond quickly throughout the shift Ability to perform essential caregiving responsibilities safely and consistently throughout overnight hours We believe excellent dementia care requires: patience, attentiveness, consistency, teamwork, and genuine human connection.
