This job entails leading residents in scheduled recreational activities, which include and is not limited to singing, dancing, arts and crafts and painting. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assisting in planning and promoting recreation based on individualized needs and interests and encouraging participation and engagement; Visiting bed-bound residents and non-participants and providing appropriate recreation services for them; Assisting with monthly newsletter and recreation calendar; Assisting with volunteer program, admission assessments, and community interaction programs; Ensuring that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere that recognizes each individual’s needs and rights; Assisting in the transportation of residents to and from activities; Assisting residents’ in scheduling and partaking in FaceTime, WhatsApp, Zoom, and Facebook video calls QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or Equivalent; Demonstrated skills in one of the following areas: music (vocal or instrumental), arts & crafts, movement/exercise, painting or ceramics.
