Machine Operator (2nd Shift)

A Machine Operators is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment and machinery to ensure proper functionality, productivity, and safety within their assigned area. They monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics. Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Physical stamina and ability to work in potentially demanding environments. Effective communication skills for coordination with team members and supervisors

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate machinery, equipment, or systems according to established procedures and guidelines. This may include starting, stopping, adjusting, and monitoring equipment during the steel fabrication process. Regularly observe equipment operations and monitor performance indicators to detect any anomalies, malfunctions, or deviations from normal operating conditions. Identify and diagnose equipment malfunctions or operational problems and take appropriate corrective actions. This could involve making adjustments, replacing parts, or calling for maintenance support. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment to ensure smooth operation and prevent potential breakdowns. Monitor product or process quality and make adjustments to maintain desired quality standards. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues. Operators are responsible for adhering to safety regulations and promptly reporting any safety concerns. Keep detailed records of equipment performance, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered during operations. Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and maintenance personnel to report any equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, or operational issues. Effective communication helps ensure timely resolution of problems. Provide suggestions for process improvements that can enhance efficiency, productivity, or safety in equipment operation and maintenance.
