Consultative and Non-Invasive Cardiologist, Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Southampton (186950) Location: Southampton, New York Open Date: Jul 10, 2026 Deadline: Oct 10, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time The Division of Cardiology at The Heart Institute, part of Stony Brook Medicine, seeks an outstanding Consultative or Non‑Invasive Imaging cardiologist to expand cardiovascular services on Long Island. This role combines patient care, program development, and leadership opportunities in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The successful candidate will participate in non‑invasive imaging—including echocardiograms, nuclear imaging, vascular imaging, and CT—while teaching and mentoring residents, APPs, and students. Responsibilities include urgent access clinic, longitudinal follow‑up, and selected inpatient consults, along with engagement in quality improvement, clinical research, or implementation science as desired. Qualifications Required Qualifications: MD, DO or equivalent; board certified in Internal Medicine and board eligible/board certified in Cardiovascular Disease Ambitious, kind physician passionate about patient care, teaching, and community growth Preferred Qualifications: Certification in echocardiography, cardiac CT/MRI, or related areas (based on desired trajectory) Special Notes Tenure/Non‑Tenure Track position. FLSA Exempt; not eligible for overtime. Tenure or senior faculty appointment requires meeting School of Medicine criteria for appointment, promotion, and tenure.
