Job Description

Express Employment is seeking Custodians to help maintain cleanliness and order in residence halls on Purdue’s campus. This role is essential in providing a safe, sanitary, and comfortable living environment for students. If you take pride in keeping spaces clean and organized, we want to hear from you!

Pay: Starting at $15.50/hr

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift. Available to work a rotating weekend shift.

Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
Empty trash and recycling bins, ensuring proper waste disposal
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including restocking supplies
Wipe down and disinfect common areas, lounges, and study spaces
Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
Report maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor
Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines

Qualifications

Previous custodial or housekeeping experience preferred
Familiarity with cleaning products and industrial cleaning techniques a plus
Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a routine cleaning schedule
Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks
Availability to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) regularly
