Forklift Operator

This contract forklift operator role focuses on safely operating high-capacity forklifts to move, stage, and prepare materials and components for solar tracking systems. You will work in both warehouse and outdoor job-site environments, supporting the efficient flow of materials to large-scale solar project sites in the Southwest Las Vegas area.

Responsibilities

• Operate large warehouse and construction-style forklifts with 10,00020,000 lb capacity to move materials safely and efficiently within the facility and job site.
• Handle and transport torque tubes and other components used in solar tracking systems with care and precision.
• Support the assembly of solar tracking systems by staging, positioning, and moving materials as directed by supervisors or project leads.
• Prepare materials and components for shipment to solar project sites, including organizing, palletizing, and positioning loads for transport.
• Follow all site safety procedures and maintain full compliance with required personal protective equipment at all times.
• Inspect forklifts and related equipment before use, document findings as needed, and promptly report any issues or maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in both warehouse and job-site environments.

Work Environment

This role is based in the Southwest Las Vegas area, with work performed at a job site in Nevada that includes both large warehouse operations and outdoor conditions associated with solar projects. You will operate high-capacity forklifts and work around heavy materials in an environment that prioritizes safety and organization. Strict adherence to safety practices is required, including the consistent use of personal protective equipment such as a hard hat, safety-toed boots, gloves, safety glasses, and a high-visibility vest. The work involves both indoor and outdoor tasks, exposure to typical construction and warehouse conditions, and collaboration with a small team of forklift drivers across different shifts.

This is a Contract position based out of Las Vegas, NV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
