Pharmacist - Closed Door Pharmacy – Boswell/JennerstownFull-time / Rotating Saturdays / No SundaysMartella's Pharmacies is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to assist in pharmacy operations for a closed-door institutional pharmacy that provides pharmacy services to correctional facilities and nursing homes. This position will be responsible for processing healthcare providers prescription orders, mixing and compounding prescriptions, and giving healthcare provider consultations as needed.Duties include, but are not limited to:Reviews and process medication ordersProvides information and advice to healthcare providers as neededEnsures safe medication use, monitors patient history, and stays updated on advancements in medicineEnsures pharmacy standards are metEnsures that safe working conditions are maintainedSets an example of personal integrity, appearance and ethical business practices which provides a standard of conduct for all department personnelEducation/Experience:Successfully completed the coursework and graduated from an accredited school of pharmacyQualifications:Licensed and in good standing with the state board of pharmacy as a registered pharmacist in the state of PennsylvaniaMust be comfortable with pharmacy-related software, in addition to any other software programs needed to manage a pharmacy efficientlyMust be a leader in the pharmacy.
