Senior Systems Engineer - Top Secret Clearance Required

Position Overview Systems Engineer – Space Systems. Full‑time position in the Systems Engineering: Software career area, located onsite at a Lockheed Martin facility. First shift. Relocation available. Responsibilities Develop system level artifacts and engage with customers, mission partners, and other stakeholders to satisfy and fulfill customer directed objectives. Perform in an accelerated, collaborative, dynamic small team environment, closely integrated with customers and contractors. Ensure consistency and traceability of requirements back to customer objectives. Develop verification details for the requirements and support the execution of these verification activities. Support successful execution of program interim design reviews. Develop systems engineering documentation, including feature description documents, trade studies, interface control documents. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience combined with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related master’s degree. Demonstrates an Agile mindset, willing to adapt in a fast‑paced dynamic environment. Experience working with Agile teams leveraging Scrum or Kanban. Ability to communicate effectively and work in a collaborative environment. Experience developing operations procedures and training materials. Active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain an SCI. Desired Skills Domain experience in one of the following: Command and Control (C2), Mission Management, Planning and Scheduling, Orbital Mechanics, SSA (Space Situational Awareness). Experience with model‑based systems engineering (MBSE) and proficiency with SysML and Cameo. Experience with modern engineering practices such as cross‑functional Agile teams and capability‑based planning. Experience with systems engineering tools such as JIRA and Confluence. Ability to interact with software developers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied. Active TS/SCI security clearance.
