Inspector 2 (CMM) 2nd Shift

Job Description Summary A qualified individual with a high school education or GED equivalent and at least 1 year of manufacturing experience is sought for an inspection role involving measurement, testing, and quality control in a manufacturing environment. Basic Qualifications High School Education or GED equivalency. 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools (e.g., dremel, cut-off tooling) and measuring devices (dial calipers, rulers, tape measures, protractors, micrometers, gauges, etc.). Ability and willingness to perform electrical test methods (ohm meter, gauss meter, surge test, hi-pot, etc.). Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation, including functional knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). Willingness to pass a visual acuity exam upon offer. Willingness to obtain Braze, Weld and Solder inspection certification as required. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Utilize manual or automated measurement and testing equipment to assure quality of products. Identify and document non-conforming parts, using Oracle to maintain inspection records. Inspect all raw materials and purchased parts for conformance to design requirements. Use statistical process control and statistical quality control techniques as required. Perform job responsibilities according to internal process specifications and third-party requirements. Assist support functions in root cause analysis. Comply with all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation. Keep all shift operators informed of special problems involving operation or setup. Communicate with team to ensure awareness of product deficiencies, new processes, or issues. Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach. Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products. Participate in and support team initiatives. Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures. Understand and abide by GE Leadership behaviors. Other duties as required. Desired Qualifications 1-3 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Basic knowledge of Quality System requirements (AS9100). Basic understanding of special process operations (brazing, soldering, welding, coating, etc.) as required within the department. Basic knowledge of electrical components and test methods. Basic knowledge in Receiving, Electrical, or Mechanical Inspection. Preferred: assembly, solder, or electronics manufacturing experience. Experience in a self-directed team environment. Familiarity with 5S and lean manufacturing. Physical Demands Ability to continuously use hands and fingers repetitively. Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, squatting, climbing, and/or balancing. Ability to continuously sit and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs. Ability to push or pull up to 22 lbs. This role may involve high-risk or hazardous operations, including chemicals and shifts beyond a standard workweek. Minimum age requirement: 18 years at joining. Benefits Pay: $23.00/hour plus 10% for shift difference. Annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of base salary/commission.
