Senior Medical Science Liaison - Obesity and Related Conditions - North Miami/PR

Amgen Inc

Amgen seeks a Senior Medical Science Liaison for its obesity portfolio serving Miami and Puerto Rico. The role involves providing clinical expertise to healthcare providers and decision makers, conducting scientific exchanges, and advancing Amgen's obesity treatment strategy in the field.

Responsibilities

Conduct peer-to-peer scientific exchanges with opinion leaders and healthcare providers on obesity treatments
Engage with population health decision makers and integrated delivery networks on clinical outcomes and economic data
Support clinical investigations and non-sponsored research as liaison with potential investigators
Present field observations and scientific insights to internal stakeholders to inform strategy
Lead or participate in congress activities, speaker training, and cross-functional project teams

Requirements

Doctorate degree plus 2 years medical affairs experience, or Master's degree plus 6 years, or Bachelor's degree plus 8 years
Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. preferred
7+ years medically related field experience including 1 year clinical practice or research
2+ years as medical science liaison in biotech or pharmaceutical company
Cardiometabolic and/or obesity disease expertise
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to interpret and present clinical and scientific data
