Engineering Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of complex engineering projects from initial concept through to completion. This role will involve coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing project scope, schedules, budgets and risks, and ensuring that all technical, commercial, quality and regulatory requirements are met. You will work closely with engineering, operations, procurement, manufacturing, suppliers and customers to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality outcomes.


Key responsibilities include developing detailed project plans, defining milestones and resource requirements, monitoring progress and controlling costs, and providing clear reporting to stakeholders. You will identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies and change requests, ensuring that appropriate actions are agreed and followed through. The role will also involve overseeing design reviews, technical documentation, testing, commissioning and project close-out activities. You will promote consistent project management practices, maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement across engineering and delivery processes.


Applicants should have proven experience managing engineering or technical projects, ideally within a complex, regulated or manufacturing environment. A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, project management or a related discipline is desirable, together with experience using project planning, reporting and risk management tools. You will need strong commercial awareness, sound technical understanding and the ability to interpret engineering information and make well-informed decisions. Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills are essential, as is the ability to manage competing priorities and build effective relationships with colleagues, customers and external partners. A proactive, organised and collaborative approach will be key to success in this position.
