Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to inmates in a correctional facility, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
- Perform assessments, develop care plans, and implement treatment strategies in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and document care accurately and timely.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
- Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for both staff and inmates.
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a correctional or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.
