Member Specialist

Position Summary 196 THF BLVD, CHESTERFIELD, MO 63005-1141 location. Provides member service, maintains checkout and entrance/exit areas, resolves member issues, promotes Sam's Club products and services, and assists with self-service technology. Handles purchases, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies for different membership and payment types. Follows safety standards, conducts safety sweeps, and reports unsafe situations. Assists with purchasing decisions, locates merchandise, zones areas, and maintains a safe shopping environment. Responsibilities Provides member service, processes member purchases, and assists with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges per company policies. Guides members regarding self-service technology and promotes products and services. Maintains checkout, entrance, and exit areas; acknowledges members; verifies membership cards; identifies member needs; and assists with transporting items. Ensures a safe environment by following safety standards, handling merchandise properly, arranging and organizing merchandise, and reporting unsafe conditions to management. Monitors security by observing and communicating potential criminal activity; maintains paperwork and documentation; and executes emergency response procedures. Assists with training of Member Frontline Services associates on processes and procedures; teaches new technology and tools; and delivers rollout training. Identifies shrink and damages; ensures compliance with policies and ethics; supports Open Door Policy; and contributes to business processes and practices. Completes work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; manages priorities and deadlines; communicates progress; and adapts to change.
