Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A retail pharmacy technician role is available in a specialty HIV/AIDS pharmacy setting in North Las Vegas, NV. This full-time position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with early Friday release hours, ideal for those seeking a consistent workweek rhythm. The assignment begins immediately and extends for 13 weeks with the potential to become permanent.
Key responsibilities include processing low volume prescriptions, data entry, and dispensing medications with accuracy and care—critical in a specialty pharmacy focused on HIV/AIDS treatment. Candidates with experience in HIV/AIDS dispensing are highly preferred, as this expertise is essential for providing specialized patient support.
Effective communication is a top priority for this client. The ideal technician demonstrates exceptional communication skills across multiple channels: engaging compassionately with patients, coordinating effectively with healthcare providers, and maintaining a positive, professional attitude. Reliable attendance and punctuality are required to ensure seamless pharmacy operations.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Nevada Pharmacy Technician license
- Experience in retail pharmacy pharmacy technician roles, preferably with HIV/AIDS specialty dispensing
- Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated strong communication skills and patient care focus
- Commitment to professional punctuality and positive teamwork
Schedule:
- Monday - Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
- Full-time
This is a contract position with the potential to convert to a permanent role, allowing for career growth within a specialized pharmacy environment.
