Devereux Florida Health provides services for children and families in the child welfare system to ensure a community without abuse, neglect, and abandonment so all children grow to their full potential. Based out of Sarasota, FL, the Case Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing services to support individuals in the Sarasota Pilot Program with a primary focus on ensuring safety, stability, and assisting toward permanency. This role requires consistent engagement with children, foster parents, biological families, service providers to assess needs, ensure additional services are in place, monitor progress, and communicate with all parties. The Case Manager facilitates access to necessary services, including medical, educational, and behavioral health supports, while maintaining accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory requirements. They advocate for the child’s best interests, ensuring that all decisions promote well-being and permanency outcomes. The position also involves regular communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, supervisors, and community partners, to address barriers and support placement stability. The Case Manager is responsible for preparing any necessary reports. Position Details Salary: Starts at $24.04–27.41 per hour (rate based on education and relevant experience). Schedule: Full time. Location: Hybrid; in-office & community-based covering Sarasota, DeSoto, and Manatee Counties and other counties as needed. Benefits and Rewards Up to 24 PTO days per year (increases with service). Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in human services, criminology, juvenile justice, psychology, sociology, counseling, special education, education, human development, child development, family development, marriage and family therapy, nursing (required). Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field preferred. Experience: Full Florida Board Certification in Child Welfare Case Management; 2 years of experience working with children, adolescents and families strongly preferred; strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and ability to manage complex cases; professionalism, cultural competency, and commitment to trauma-informed, strengths-based approach. Other Requirements: Valid Florida Driver's License; on-call rotation; transportation and supervising visits may also be necessary; successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings including drug test and TB test; pass Level 2 background screening with State of Florida.
