Adult Psychiatrist opening – Dayton, Ohio Position Details

• Join Outpatient Behavioral Health team
• Outpatient adult mental health clinic
• Multidisciplinary team-based environment
• Focus on medication management and integrated patient care
• Role includes patient/family education, crisis intervention, and documentation support
Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
• Prescribe and manage medications based on patient needs and treatment goals
• Monitor medication effectiveness and side effects
• Adjust treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families on medication use and adherence
• Collaborate with therapists, PCPs, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care
• Provide support during mental health crises
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Qualifications
• MD or DO degree ‚Äì Required
• Completion of accredited psychiatric residency ‚Äì Required
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Adult Psychiatry ‚Äì Required
• Active Ohio medical license ‚Äì Required
• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and mental health disorders ‚Äì Required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
