• You have 5+ years of hands-on experience shipping production systems, with a track record of driving customer outcomes from concept to deployment.

• You bring strong technical problem-solving skills, especially in fast-changing, ambiguous environments where requirements evolve.
• You're a full-stack generalist equally adept with client-side and server-side technologies (Ruby on Rails / Hotwire / Typescript / React / Node.js / Postgres).
• You have experience with system integrations, APIs, and building reliable data pipelines between enterprise systems.
• You excel at technical communication - translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and gathering clear requirements from vague business objectives.
• You have experience building software for industries with complex operational workflows, ideally in hospitality, payments, or marketplace environments.
• You understand that this is an engineering role with hands-on coding that also encompasses aspects of product management, technical customer success, and solution architecture.

Requirements

• Drive end-to-end implementations and solutions.
• Partner directly with our hotel partners and suppliers to architect, build, and deploy integrations with their existing ERP systems, property management systems, and operational tools.
• Own the customer technical journey.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, design custom solutions, and ensure successful production deployments that meet specific business requirements.
• Build scalable integration frameworks.
• Create reusable patterns and self-serve tools that accelerate future implementations while maintaining flexibility for customer-specific needs.
• Enable rapid onboarding.
• Contribute to our hotel onboarding initiative by identifying patterns across implementations and building features that reduce time-to-value for new partners.
• Shape the product roadmap.
• Surface unmet needs from your direct customer work, prototype solutions, and collaborate with product and engineering to build features that benefit all customers.
• Develop strategic partnerships with our sales and go-to-market teams.
• Work closely with key technology partners to ensure deep, reliable integrations that can become distribution channels for Folio.

Company Description

Folio is a Ruby on Rails app with Typescript Node.js automations deployed to AWS.

• Our engineering team meets daily for standup (except Friday) and otherwise keeps meetings to a minimum.
• We're a remote-first company. Quarterly, we travel to work together in-person and stay with one of our hotel partners.
• For the most part, we rely on Google Meet, GitHub, Linear, Notion, and Slack to make decisions and get things done day-to-day.
