Radiology Technologist - Nights

This position requires a night shift from 6 PM to 6 AM.

Radiology Technologists perform a variety of imaging procedures, including X-ray, Fluoroscopy, CT, and Surgery, while ensuring patient safety protocols are followed. They serve as the first line interface with patients to successfully accomplish their imaging needs.

Responsibilities:

• Promote a professional image by adhering to the established dress code.
• Maximize job potential by attending all mandatory education and in-service programs.
• Contribute to effective time management by being punctual to work and assignments.
• Comply with all hospital confidentiality and HIPAA requirements related to medical records and patient condition.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical imaging patient records.
• Perform office-related duties in the absence of office staff.
• Identify each patient and review requisitions for consistency with clinical diagnosis and demographics.
• Record pertinent data on radiologic requisitions at all times.
• Ensure patient safety through the proper use of restraint/support devices.
• Review examinations for technical accuracy and communicate pertinent information post-procedure.
• Identify anatomical orientation and ensure proper film identification on all images.
• Document patient information accurately in the computer system to enhance patient care quality.
• Organize patient care, ensuring critical needs are prioritized based on physician orders.
• Participate in the training and orientation of new employees.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Graduation from an accredited/approved school of radiology.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Valid Illinois Radiology license.
• CPR/AED certification; CT certification is welcomed but not required.
