Role Overview
Prep Cooks are responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining kitchen organization, and supporting food quality and safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, strong time management, and consistency ensuring the kitchen is set up for success before and during service.
Responsibilities + Duties
- Prepare ingredients by following recipes, prep sheets, and spec standards
- Practice strong time management to complete prep efficiently and accurately
- Understand and execute correct portion sizes, taste profiles, and visual presentation
- Label, date, and store all food items properly
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen throughout the shift
- Wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, and remove trash as needed to support BOH flow
- Follow all safety and sanitation practices consistently
- Communicate clearly with Kitchen Managers and BOH teammates to support daily execution

- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to follow recipes and prep standards consistently
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
- Able to lift up to 20 lbs. as needed
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented demeanor
- Willingness to learn and apply coaching in real time

Los Cocineros de Preparacin son responsables de preparar ingredientes, mantener la organizacin de la cocina y apoyar los estndares de calidad y seguridad alimentaria. Este puesto requiere atencin al detalle, buena administracin del tiempo y consistencia para asegurar que la cocina est preparada para el xito antes y durante el servicio.
Responsabilidades y Deberes
- Preparar ingredientes siguiendo recetas, hojas de preparacin y estndares de porciones
- Administrar el tiempo de manera eficiente para completar la preparacin de forma precisa
- Comprender y cumplir con los tamaos de porcin, sabores y presentacin visual esperados
- Etiquetar, fechar y almacenar correctamente todos los alimentos
- Mantener una cocina limpia y organizada durante todo el turno
- Lavar platos, desinfectar superficies y retirar la basura segn sea necesario
- Cumplir constantemente con las prcticas de seguridad y saneamiento
- Comunicarse claramente con los Gerentes de Cocina y compaeros del BOH para apoyar la operacin diaria
Calificaciones y Habilidades
- Disponibilidad para trabajar noches y fines de semana
- Gran atencin al detalle y habilidades organizativas
- Capacidad para seguir recetas y estndares de preparacin de manera consistente
- Capacidad para permanecer de pie durante largos perodos
- Capacidad para levantar hasta 20 libras segn sea necesario
- Actitud profesional, responsable y orientada al trabajo en equipo
- Disposicin para aprender y aplicar retroalimentacin
