Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director ensures that the Center's programs, staff, volunteers, finances, community relationships, and development efforts support its mission and strategic goals. Part-Time Commitment Schedule Part-time; approximately 25 hours per week on average Accountability Reports to the Board of Directors Work Location Life Outreach Center, Hancock, Michigan Flexibility Some evening or weekend availability may be needed for events, donor engagement, training, and ministry activities Compensation And Benefits $32.00 per hour Monthly health insurance stipend Four weeks of paid time off annually Mission and Culture Vision. The Executive Director is expected to model and advance the ministry's Christian mission, cultivate a healthy and compassionate workplace, and provide spiritual leadership through prayer, encouragement, and mission-focused staff development. Qualifications A demonstrated commitment to the Christian faith and the mission, vision, and life-affirming values of Life Outreach Center. At least three years of supervisory or organizational leadership experience, including responsibility for staff, volunteers, and daily operations. Experience in nonprofit administration, program development, or organizational growth. Proven ability to build relationships with donors, churches, community organizations, schools, and other local partners. Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to lead with sound judgment, discretion, compassion, accountability, and professionalism. Working proficiency with common office technology, data organization and reporting, websites, email, and social media platforms. Experience recruiting, interviewing, training, developing, and evaluating staff or volunteers. Ability to organize priorities, manage multiple responsibilities, and follow through consistently in a part-time leadership role. Duties and Responsibilities Organizational Leadership and Board Partnership Lead the center's daily operations in alignment with board-approved mission, strategy, policies, and budget. Translate strategic priorities into annual goals, work plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes. Monitor ministry outcomes and ensure organizational policies and procedures are consistently followed. Provide clear, timely reports to the Board regarding operations, programs, finances, staffing, opportunities, and risks. Support effective governance by maintaining clear distinctions between board oversight and executive management. Staff and Volunteer Leadership Recruit, hire, supervise, evaluate, develop, and, when necessary, separate employees in accordance with approved policies and the Employee Manual. Supervise and support staff through clear expectations, regular check-ins, coaching, performance feedback, and accountability. Build a healthy team culture marked by trust, accountability, communication, prayer, and professional growth, and identify appropriate staff development opportunities. Programs, Client Services, and Quality Ensure programs are consistent, compassionate, confidential, mission-aligned, and responsive to community needs. Establish practical systems for documentation, data quality, outcome tracking, and continuous improvement. Community Engagement and Communications Develop and maintain strong relationships with churches, community organizations, schools, service providers, and other local partners. Represent Life Outreach Center professionally in the community and communicate the ministry's mission and impact clearly. Identify opportunities to expand awareness, referrals, collaboration, and community support. Fundraising and Donor Development Cultivate and steward relationships with current and prospective donors. Communicate ministry outcomes and financial needs accurately and compellingly. Work with the Board to strengthen long-term financial sustainability.
