Laundry Assistant

Job Title: Industrial Laundry Sorter This role focuses on manually sorting soiled product returned from delivery routes in a fast-paced industrial laundry and production environment. You will help ensure items are processed efficiently and accurately so they can move through the laundry and production lines safely and on time. Responsibilities Manually sort soiled products, including trash and linens, that return from delivery routes. Separate items according to established categories, quality standards, and processing requirements. Load, unload, and move product within the warehouse and production areas as needed. Support industrial laundry processes by preparing items for machine operation and production lines. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with facility guidelines. Follow all safety procedures and use equipment and materials as directed. Work efficiently to meet daily production goals and sorting quotas. Communicate with team members and supervisors about any issues with incoming product or workflow. Essential Skills Previous experience in warehouse or production environments. Ability to perform general labor tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Comfort working in an industrial laundry setting with soiled products, trash, and linens. Basic familiarity with machine operation and production line workflows. Attention to detail when sorting and handling materials. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to safety procedures. Reliability and punctuality for early-morning shift work. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in industrial laundry operations is a plus. Experience in general warehouse work or production line support is beneficial. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new processes. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in an industrial laundry and warehouse facility that includes production lines and machine operation areas. The work involves handling soiled products, trash, and linens and working around large industrial equipment. The shift runs from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday, providing a consistent daytime schedule. You can expect a physically active environment that requires standing, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift, with adherence to facility safety rules and appropriate work attire suitable for an industrial setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oklahoma City, OK. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.25 - $15.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
