Construction Site Manager - Contract

OVERVIEW

Merrick is seeking a Construction Site Manager (contract) to provide to join our team at our project site in Chalmette, Louisiana. This contract position will be located at our client site, not a Merrick office. This on‑site contract position is expected to end July 31, 2026.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Responsible for all on‑site management, supervision, and coordination of construction activities. Responsible for establishing and monitoring job site safety, health, and environmental program. Responsible for controlling project schedule and cost through the efficient use of all construction resources including manpower, materials, tools, and equipment. Schedule and coordinate all required permit, inspection, and testing agency activities. Ensure the quality of field installations. Conduct on‑site schedule coordination meetings weekly, or as required, to maintain effective communication, coordination, and schedule and cost control.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires at least three (3) years of experience in construction site management in industrial or manufacturing environments. Candidates must be local Candidates for this position must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship. Ability to deliver projects on time and on budget. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Working knowledge of OSHA requirements is necessary. A valid driver’s license is required. This position requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong organization and planning skills are required. Time management skills are a requirement of this position. This position requires a working knowledge of appropriate codes and standards.
