This role will also automate key business processes that improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and support the consulting operations team.This individual will partner closely with consulting business unit leaders, operations, finance, sales, and technology teams to translate business requirements into accurate reporting, analytical models, and actionable insights. The role requires experience working with large, complex datasets from multiple business systems, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.The ideal candidate is technically strong, business-minded, detail-oriented, and committed to data quality, accuracy, and consistency. They can communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, manage multiple priorities independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate across functions to create reporting solutions that support better business decision-making.Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports focused on sales performance, resource management, and project financialUse SQL, Databricks, Power Query, Excel, and other tools to extract, transform, clean, validate, and analyze data from multiple systemsBuild and maintain scalable data models that support accurate, timely, and consistent business reportingAutomate recurring reporting, manual processes, and operational workflows to improve efficiency and reduce administrative burdenPartner with consulting business unit leaders to understand reporting needs, define key performance indicators, and deliver insights to support decision-makingSupport the consulting operations team by identifying opportunities to improve processes, data quality, reporting accuracy, and workflow consistencyCollaborate with finance, sales operations, resource management, project delivery, and technology teams to ensure alignment in reporting requirements and data usagePerform ad hoc analysis to answer business questions, identify trends, highlight risks, and uncover opportunities for operational improvementMonitor report performance, troubleshoot data issues, and implement enhancements to improve usability, reliability, and scalabilityCreate and maintain documentation for reports, data definitions, business logic, workflows, and standard operating proceduresPromote best practices in data visualization, dashboard design, data governance, and self-service analytics to drive continuous improvement in business intelligenceRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in data science, mathematics, statistics, finance, computer science, information systems, business analytics, or a related field3-5 years of professional experience in business intelligence, data analytics, finance or a related roleStrong experience developing dashboards, reports, and data models in Power BIExcellent SQL skills, including experience with Apache Spark SQL and T-SQLAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, and analysisProficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or RStrong experience with Power Query for data transformation, automation, and reporting supportExperience working with large, complex datasets from multiple business systemsAbility to translate business requirements into reporting solutions, analytical models, and actionable insightsHigh attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy, quality, and consistencyAbility to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and working independently in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skillsA reporting portfolio demonstrating experience designing dashboards, reports, data models, and analytical solutions, preferably including examples of Power BI reporting and data visualizationApplicants for employment must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Kaufman Hall (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status)Preferred QualificationsExperience with Databricks or similar cloud-based data platformsExperience with Microsoft Dynamics, particularly in a sales, finance, project, or operations reporting contextExperience with Microsoft Power Apps or Power AutomateExperience supporting consulting, professional services, project-based, or resource-based business modelsFamiliarity with project financial metrics, utilization, revenue forecasting, resource planning, pipeline reporting, and operational performance managementExperience designing automated workflows, data validation processes, or reporting controlKnowledge of data governance, semantic modeling, DAX, and Power BI service administrationExperience partnering with senior business leaders to develop executive-level reporting and insightsEducationBachelor’s degree requiredPhysical Requirements Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodationsWork is generally done sitting, talking, hearing and typing.
