Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Acute Inpatient Occupational Therapist to join our team in Florence, SC. This is a 13-week contract position with a day shift, 5 days a week, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Weekend shifts may be required, approximately 1-2 per month.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care in an acute care setting, assisting patients in their rehabilitation process following injury or surgery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in providing interdisciplinary care.
- Document patient progress and outcomes in the electronic health record.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
Required Experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care setting is required.
Certifications / Licensure
- Current South Carolina Occupational Therapist License or Multistate Compact License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification.
