Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure efficient and safe treatment delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Administer emergency nursing interventions and treatments based on patient needs.
• Monitor patient condition, including vital signs and clinical data, to identify changes requiring immediate action.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Educate patients and families about treatment procedures and post-discharge care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Virginia nursing license or be eligible to submit pending licensure.
• Possess ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (TNCC pending approval but must be obtained before start).
• Have a minimum of 2 years of recent emergency room nursing experience, including some pediatric care.
• Demonstrate proficiency in electronic health records and emergency nursing procedures.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (4x12 hours) and weekends, with flexibility based on staffing needs.
• Maintain compliance with travel and background screening requirements.
