Hours will vary based on help desk needs, employee onboarding and offboarding, workstation deployments, equipment upgrades, and technology projects. Join Our Growing Healthcare Team We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused Help Desk & Desktop Support Technician to provide Tier 1 technology support for our growing specialty healthcare clinic. This is an on-site, 1099 Independent Contractor position supporting physicians, nurses, clinical staff, and administrative employees by helping ensure they have reliable technology to deliver exceptional patient care. Working closely with our Healthcare IT Systems Administrator, you’ll provide first-level technical support, deploy and maintain workstations, assist with user account management, support employee onboarding and offboarding, and maintain technology equipment. More advanced networking, cybersecurity, infrastructure, EMR administration, and systems issues are escalated to the Healthcare IT Systems Administrator. What You’ll Do Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day technology support requests Respond to help desk tickets, phone calls, and email support requests promptly and professionally Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, phones, docking stations, and other technology equipment Assist users with password resets, login issues, and account access Provide basic support for Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Shared Drives) and Microsoft Office applications Assist users with basic EMR/EHR access and navigation Set up, configure, deploy, and maintain computers and technology equipment Prepare technology and user accounts for employee onboarding and assist with offboarding Maintain IT equipment inventory and asset tracking Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions Identify recurring technical issues and communicate trends to the Healthcare IT Systems Administrator Coordinate routine support with technology vendors as directed Support workstation deployments, equipment upgrades, office moves, and other technology projects Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality Qualifications Required Two or more years of Help Desk, Desktop Support, or Technical Support experience, or equivalent technical training Experience supporting Windows and/or macOS computers Basic understanding of networking concepts including Wi‑Fi, TCP/IP, printers, and internet connectivity Familiarity with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize multiple support requests while maintaining a positive, service-oriented attitude Comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision Preferred Experience supporting users in a healthcare or medical office environment Experience supporting Google Workspace environments Experience with EMR/EHR systems Google IT Support Professional Certificate CompTIA A+ Certification CompTIA Network+ Certification Compensation $30-$33 per hour Flexible daytime schedule based on clinic support needs and technology projects Why Join Us?
