This is a full time, day shift position with benefits. Chauffeur/For-Hire License is required, or the ability to obtain For-Hire license.Delivery Driver/Yard Person essential functions include:#1 priority is to ensure customer satisfaction while never compromising safetyProvide assistance to customersReceive and prepare material for shipmentLoad, secure, and deliver materialDaily inspections of delivery vehicles per DOT requirementsReport all returns to the officeMaintain all required paperworkHandling COD'sCheck loads for accuracyMaintain safe driving record as defined by the company's insurance carrierAssist with ensuring yard is kept clean alwaysUnload vehicles and check for material accuracyPlace material in proper yard locationAssist other employees as neededPut returns awayCheck vehicles for any problems; including daily forklift inspectionsProper arrangement of material on trucksProper storage of inventoryCommunicate clearly, accurately, and effectively with employees, management, customers, and suppliersPerform any special assignment/projects as required by the Operations ManagerAdherence to all safety and fire regulations and anti-theft proceduresPromote a positive image of BIG CRequirements:Minimum Chauffeur/For-Hire License with the ability to train to obtain a For-Hire licenseAbility to build and arrange loads properlyAbility to lift, move, and carry up to 80lbsPost offer drug test, lift test, and DOT physical requiredKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Map reading and/or GPS skillsAbility to become Forklift CertifiedAttention to detailAbility to withstand and drive in harsh weather conditionsBuild and arrange loads properlyAbility to lift, carry, and move 80# to specified areas, in rough terrain, up/down stepsAbility to adapt to in-house softwareEquipment Used:Multi-line phoneFax /copier/printerCalculatorComputerSafety equipmentForkliftSaws, pallet jacks, hand toolsTarps, wraps, banding equipmentEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
