Quality Assurance ManagerBeecher's Handmade Cheese is excited to be opening a new cheesemaking facility in Shullsburg, Wisconsin, and we're looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to establish and lead our food safety and quality programs from the ground up.This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who believes that quality is everyone's responsibility and who takes pride in doing things the right way. You'll help build the systems, standards, and culture that ensure every product leaving our facility reflects our commitment to exceptional quality and food safety.What You'll DoBuild and lead the facility's food safety and quality management systems, including HACCP, FSMA, and quality assurance programsServe as the site's PCQI and ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and food safety requirementsOversee environmental monitoring, sanitation verification, internal audits, and CAPA programsManage product release, traceability, recall readiness, supplier quality, and regulatory compliance activitiesPrepare for and lead customer, regulatory, and third-party audits, including GFSI certificationUse data and root cause analysis to identify risks and drive continuous improvementPartner with Operations to embed food safety and quality into daily productionTrain, coach, and develop team members while building a culture of accountability, craftsmanship, and continuous improvementWhat We're Looking For5+ years of quality assurance or food safety experience in dairy or food manufacturingPCQI certification and strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, FSMA, and food safety regulationsExperience supporting or leading GFSI-certified facilities (BRCGS, SQF, or similar)Experience managing audits, investigations, corrective actions, and compliance programsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionProven ability to train and develop frontline teamsHands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the production floorHigh standards, attention to detail, and a commitment to doing things the right wayWhat Success Looks LikeA facility that is consistently audit-ready and operating to the highest food safety and quality standardsQuality and food safety expectations embedded in daily operationsRisks identified and addressed before they impact product quality or customer experienceStrong ownership of quality throughout the facilitySafe, exceptional products that reflect Beecher's commitment to craftsmanship and excellenceCompensation & BenefitsThe starting salary range for this position is between $80,000 to $100,000 per year, plus an annual bonus plan. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
