About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Partum, Antepartum, Lactation, Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current State License Certifications: CPR, ACLS, NRP Must-Have: High-risk labor and delivery experience Description: We are seeking an experienced RN for our Labor and Delivery unit. High-risk labor and delivery experience is required. Candidates must have a current state license and relevant certifications. Graduation from an accredited nursing program is necessary; education verification is required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, and standards of care. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise to guide other departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care. Utilizes critical thinking in relation to patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates to the appropriate chain of command. Holiday coverage is required.
