We’re looking for a Hospice RN – Regional Support to join our team. In this dynamic role, you’ll provide direct care to patients and support to families, while also serving as a floating clinician—temporarily assigned to different hospice branches based on census needs or staffing gaps. \n

As a Hospice RN – Regional Support, You Will:

\n

\n • Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care for hospice patients
\n • Manage and implement individualized plans of care
\n • Support and lead interdisciplinary team members (LPNs, CNAs, HHAs, etc.)
\n • Assess and address patients’ physical, emotional, spiritual, and environmental needs
\n • Accurately document all care provided and ensure compliance with hospice protocols
\n • Educate families and caregivers on care instructions, medications, and safety
\n • Participate in the on-call rotation and provide after-hours care as needed
\n • Collaborate with physicians, referral sources, and the care team
\n • Assist with referrals, regulatory documentation, and payer compliance
\n • Travel to various Gentiva hospice locations as assigned to fill urgent needs

Schedule & Travel:

\n

 

\n

This role typically follows a Monday–Friday schedule, with occasional on-call responsibilities. Travel is required and may include:

\n

\n
• Option 1: Overnight travel required to cities within a 100-mile radius.
\n
• Option 2: Frequent overnight travel to multiple states is required.
\n
• Option 3: Regional travel with overnight stays based on assignment needs.
\n

\n

A company fleet car is provided for eligible employees.

About You: \n

Qualifications – What You’ll Bring:

\n

\n • Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of employment
\n • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience (hospice, home health, acute care, long-term care, oncology or other high acuity setting)
\n • Current CPR certification
\n • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation

\n

 

\n

 

\n

Preferred Experience (Not required):

\n

\n • Hospice and end-of-life nursing experience
\n • Skilled in clinical assessments and compassionate communication
\n • Strong critical thinking, flexibility, and problem-solving skills
\n • Comfortable working in varied environments with shifting needs
\n • Proficient in documentation and electronic health records
\n • Calm and supportive in crisis situations; skilled at family engagement

\n

Compensation may vary within the salary range provided based on several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s location, experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications and department equity.  Gentiva provides associates with a comprehensive benefits and total rewards package, of which base pay is just one piece.

Salary Range – $100,000.00 - $115,000.00
