2nd Shift Maintenance Technician – Chocolate Production

Job Description

This role focuses on performing routine and advanced maintenance on chocolate production equipment and facilities to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operations. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, support preventive maintenance programs, and contribute to continuous improvement in a dynamic, food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced maintenance tasks on chocolate production equipment and related facilities to ensure optimal performance.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues on production machinery and supporting systems.

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.

• Assist in planning and executing maintenance projects, equipment installations, and upgrades.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment performance in the maintenance management system.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns to restore production as quickly and safely as possible.

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industrial safety standards during maintenance activities.

• Collaborate closely with other maintenance team members and production departments to improve overall operational efficiency.

• Generate, complete, and close work orders using a computerized maintenance management system.

• Log out and track spare parts usage accurately within the maintenance system.

• Provide guidance, support, and informal mentoring to Level 1 Maintenance Technicians.

• Participate actively in training programs to stay current on maintenance best practices, technologies, and equipment.

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing safe food products by maintaining equipment to food safety standards.

• Work within all applicable regulatory requirements related to food production and industrial safety.

• Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all other food safety requirements while performing maintenance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DUNMORE, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
