Hotel Security Officer

The Hotel Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and hotel property. They are expected to provide a welcoming and helpful customer service experience while monitoring the premises and preventing theft, and vandalism.

salary: $20 - $21 per hour
shift: Third
work hours: 12 AM - 8 AM
education: High School

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Patrol the hotel premises, including guest rooms, public areas, and parking lots, to prevent theft and ensure the safety of guests and employee
• Respond to emergency situations, such as accidents, medical emergencies, or fires, and provide first aid as needed
• Investigate suspicious behavior and report any incidents to management or law enforcement
• Enforce hotel policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment
• Collaborate with law enforcement and other emergency responders as needed
• Provide escorts to guests and employees as needed
• Assist with crowd control during events or other high-traffic periods

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid Guard Card
• Prior experience in security preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle potentially stressful situations in a calm and professional manner
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of security systems and protocols
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• standing for 4 hours at one time
• working weekends

Skills

• Patrols (1 year of experience is preferred)
• Customer Service (1 year of experience is preferred)
• Written Communication (1 year of experience is preferred)
