Mental Health Tech / Behavioral Tech | ASAP Start Petaluma, CA

We're seeking dependable Mental Health Techs / Behavioral Techs for an adolescent residential program in Petaluma, CA. Great opportunity for local candidates looking for consistent hours with the potential to transition into per diem.

Start: ASAP Schedule:

• AM or Swing shifts
• Weekdays and weekends
• 3240 hours/week

Contract: Minimum 1 month (option to extend or move into per diem)

Requirements:

• At least 6 months of behavioral health experience
• Experience with adolescents preferred
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills
• Reliable and team-oriented

Bonus:

• Guardian Livescan clearance preferred

• Support residents with daily structure and activities
• Monitor safety and behavior
• Assist with documentation and team communication
• Must meet all federal, state, and facility requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

The Mental / Psychiatric Health Technician cares for individuals with psychiatric conditions as well as a variety of substance use disorders, following the instructions of physicians, nurses or other health practitioners. The Behavioral Health Technician monitors a patients' safety, physical and emotional well-being and report directly to medical staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Associate's degree in behavioral studies or related field, or equivalent experience preferred (or per facility requirements)
• Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
