# Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery / Maternal Fetal Medicine – North Carolina**Start Date:** August 24, 2026 **Location:** Asheville, North Carolina **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Day or Night Shift available; 1:3-4 patient ratio on a 10-bed antepartum high-risk pregnancy unit**Highlights:** - Specialize in Maternal Fetal Medicine with high-risk pregnancy patients in a dedicated antepartum unit- Procedures include vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and cesarean hysterectomy- Work with Baxter pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring; EMR includes Cerner and FetaLink- Charge nurse role for Labor & Delivery; may float to L&D/MOMB/NICU as needed- Scrubs provided; supportive, team-oriented environment- 13-month contract with weekends and on-call available upon approval (not required)**Requirements:** - Minimum 2+ years of Labor & Delivery experience (required)- High-risk pregnancy experience (required)- Immediate newborn care experience (required)- Circulating experience preferred- Current NRP, BLS or ACLS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications required- Active North Carolina RN license or ability to obtain**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in maternal fetal medicine, caring for high-risk mothers and newborns in a well-equipped, collaborative environment.
